FAQ
Frequently asked questions.
Can’t find your answer? Send us a message — we reply within one business day.
Where are you based, and how do you handle time zones?
We’re a remote studio based in Taiwan (GMT+8). Most of our work happens asynchronously — written updates, a live staging link and recorded walkthroughs — so you never wait on a meeting. When a call helps, we schedule it in your morning or late afternoon. You’ll get a reply within one business day.
Who owns the website when it’s finished?
You do. Once the project is paid in full, your domain, content, design files and custom code are yours. For Launch sites, your content and domain are always yours; the managed platform is licensed to you for as long as your Launch plan is active.
How do payments work?
Launch setup is paid upfront. Custom projects are usually 50% to start and 50% before launch. Partnerships are billed monthly in advance. You can pay by card, popular digital wallets or bank transfer.
Why might my card statement show New Taiwan Dollars?
Our payment provider processes card payments in TWD. We show prices in your currency as a guide; your bank converts the TWD amount at its daily rate, and some cards add a small foreign-transaction fee. Prefer a fixed amount in your currency? Ask us to invoice you for a bank transfer.
Do you sign contracts and NDAs?
Yes. Every Custom project and Partnership runs on a written agreement that sets out scope, timeline, payments and ownership. We’re happy to sign your NDA before you share anything sensitive.
Which platform do you build on?
Custom websites are built on WordPress — the most widely used, best-supported CMS in the world — so you’re never locked in to us. Launch sites run on our own managed platform, which we host and maintain for you.
Can I edit the website myself?
On Custom websites, yes: we set up an editor tailored to your content and record a training walkthrough. Launch is fully managed — you email us your changes and we make them, usually within two business days.
How long does a project take?
Launch sites typically go live 7–10 business days after we receive your content. Custom websites take 8–12 weeks; larger platforms 12 weeks or more. Your proposal includes a dated timeline.
Is the website GDPR-ready and accessible?
We set up cookie consent, privacy-friendly analytics and secure forms, and design to WCAG 2.2 AA as a target. We’re not lawyers, so we recommend you review your privacy policy with your own adviser.
Do you write the content?
We’ll polish and structure the copy you provide as part of every project. Full copywriting, photography and brand naming are available as add-ons or as part of a Brand Partnership.
What happens after launch?
Every Custom project includes 30 days of post-launch support. After that, a Care plan covers hosting, updates, backups, security monitoring and a monthly allowance of small changes.
What if we’re not the right fit?
We’ll tell you. If your project is too small, too large or outside our expertise, we’ll say so early and point you somewhere better.
